IPCC Report Release

In case you missed it...

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released their most current report in early February. It's an interesting read. I recommend downloading the Summary for Policymakers and finding out (for yourself) what scientists around the world are saying about global warming. Maybe that Gore fellow is really on to something, huh?

Truly one of the finest moments of my life (outside of family related things...B). I felt like a proud papa. I was a pleasure celebrating with the team and what makes it even better is I felt like this was "our" year to win. I'm glad Del Piero was with the team and I'm glad the Azzuri pulled off a great triumph. Forza Italia!!

My one and only European Football experience

This is me at a Feyenoord football match. My good friends work for Aon and were able to acquire suite tickets. It was, without a doubt, the best way to watch a game. Hopefully, I'll get another opportunity someday! 

House guest

This is one of the "many" house (actually yard) guests I've had over lately. Not the best picture but, not bad for the late afternoon. The parents and another bird were sitting close by. 

PLUMES - An Awesome Coffee House

This is the BEST coffee house I've ever visited. It's located in downtown Monterey, CA at 400 Alvarado Street (on the corner). They drip each cup individually for a perfect fresh taste. See the guy waiting for his cup? Why can't we get a shop like this in Charlotte?

SBIR has arrived...

Late yesterday, I received the final paperwork for my SBIR. I'm quite excited to be working on chlorinated solvents research, especially stable isotopes as they relate to those solvents. More info to come as I continue learning!

INES 8102 Class Project

Our class project involves Hatteras Island, NC. Located off the eastern coast of NC, Hatteras Island is the easternmost barrier island of the NC Outer Banks (OBX).

I started my Ph.D. program last week. Classes are actually beginning to require work now. Our class project (involving the "Bonner Bridge" on Hatteras Island, NC) is very interesting and certainly applicable to what I do at work.

My latest book...

Ok. So, I'm reading a new book titled, "Uncommon Dissent: Intellectuals who find Darwinism Unconvincing" by William A. Dembski (Editor). Can you say...eye-opening. I think I'll have to adjust my whole perspective on existence and reason.

Champions League

Looking forward to watching the AC Milan v. Liverpool game. I believe AC will be the better of the two. Hopefully it won't end in a 0-0 or 0-1. I want goals!
